Soda Ash Fixer for Tie Dye & Ice Dye
We have been tie-dyeing since 2013, and our love for the process is just as strong as the end product. We are excited to announce that we are offering tools and chemicals for DIY ice dyeing and tie-dyeing at home! Whether you are having a get together with friends, wanting to learn a new hobby or skill, or you want to find the perfect gift for that DIY friend of yours, then our kits are perfect!
- Rose gold tin (better for the environment).
- Professional soda ash fixer - 6 oz.
HOW DO I USE IT?
This tin is enough for one gallon of hot water. Add your blank clothing to a bucket and add hot water. Pour in soda ash and allow clothing to sit in the mix for about 15 minutes. Wring out clothing (so it's no longer dripping) before starting the tie dye process. You can reuse your soda ash water for as many batches as you want until the water is gone (make sure it's during the same time frame).
WHY DO I NEED IT?
Soda ash is used to fix fiber reactive dyes to clothing that is made of natural fibers such as cotton. It is needed for the dyes to properly adhere to the fabric.
HOW IS THIS SUSTAINABLE?
We chose to use glass bottles instead of plastic to be more eco-friendly. Please clean and re-use your containers when you are finished with them. If you do not plan on re-using your containers, please message us and we will send you a label to send them back to us for recycling!
